Body of text  GEORGE MORE, born 20th January 1914 at Glasgow, son of Alexander More and Mary Barr; educated at Glasgow Shakespeare Public School 1919-25, North Kelvinside Secondary School 1925-31; apprentice Chartered Accountant 1931-5; University of Glasgow 1935-9, MA (1939), University of St Andrews 1939-40, 1945-7, BD (1947); travelling Secretary, Student Christian Movement 1939-40; war service 1940-5; student in charge Guardbridge 1945-6; licensed by Presbytery of St Andrews 11th June 1947; ordained by same Presbytery as missionary 30th June 1947; service in Nagpur; transferred to ministry of United Church of Northern India 1948; inducted Wardha 25th October 1949. Married 27th May 1943. Mary Brown, MB, ChB (Glasgow 1939), born 14th July 1913, daughter of Charles Howat and Jennie Winning, and has issue, Janet Howat, born 5th February 1946; Alexander Crawford, born 8th June 1948.
