Body of text  JOHN NORMAN McDOUGALL, born 29th January 1911 at Auckland, New Zealand, son of Neil McDougall and Sarah Aitken; educated at Auckland Grafton Primary School 1917-9, King's College School 1919-22, Grammar School 1922-7, Auckland University College 1928-30, BA (1931), University of Glasgow 1931-4, BD (Distinction 1934), University of Marburg 1934-5; licensed by Presbytery of Glasgow 6th April 1934; ordained by same Presbytery as missionary to Punjab 23rd June 1935. Married 7th March 1940, Elizabeth Grace, born 17th June 1904, daughter of Edward Poleson, and has issue, Neil Norman, born 1st February 1941; Ian Peter, born 19th October 1944; Alastair Andrew, born 8th November 1949.
