Body of text  PETER INNES, born 17th October 1910 at Strathyre, Perthshire, son of John Innes and Margaret Macnaughton; educated at Callendar McLaren High School 1924-30, University of Edinburgh 1930-7, MA (19134); student missionary Crianlarich summer 1935; student assistant Smailholm 1935-6; licensed by Presbytery of Dalkeith 13th May 1937; assistant Clyne 1937-8; ordained by same Presbytery for service at Scots Church, Kandy, Ceylon 13th February 1938; service as Chaplain to the Forces in Ceylon, India and Scotland 1942-6; inducted Arbroath Inverbrothock 10th July 1946; served in Presbyterian Church of South Africa 1948-52; appointed Chaplain to Indian Tea Association, Digobi, Assam and inducted 21st April 1952. Married 2nd September 1937, Isabel Ann Fraser, born 17th July 1902, daughter of William Paterson and Margaret Fraser, and has issue, Iain Fraser Macgregor, born 3rd February 1940 at Colombo.
