Body of text  VICTOR WILLIAM COOMBES, born 1897 at Adelaide, Australia; educated at Sydney High School; became Chartered Accountant in Australia; attended Missionary College, Croydon, New South Wales; ordained by Presbytery of Sydney as missionary to India October 1921; minister at Bingara, New South Wales 1927-30; admitted by General Assembly for work in India 1933; appointed Superintendent Lady Willingdon's Leper Settlement, Chingleput 17th October 1933. Married 12th November 1921.
