| Description | The series L/F/8 consists of 20 boxes of contracts entered into by the East India Company / Secretary of State for India / Governor General in Council, with various individuals / companies in the years 1855 - 1946. The contracts with individuals relate to appointments made in the UK to the Indian Public Works Department, Military Works Services, Government Railways, Telegraph Department, Indo-European Telegraph Establishment, Persian Gulf Cable, and miscellaneous industrial enterprises.
