Service  Assistant-Surgeon Thom served with the 1st Sikh Infantry in the expedition against the Bozdars, under General Chamberlain, 57. Served during 58 with the 5th Punjab Infantry, under Sir Hope Grant, throughout the Campaign in Oude, and in Byswarrah and Trans-Gogra, under the Commander-in-Chief, November 58. Served in Medical Charge of this Regiment, until the termination of operations on the Nepal Frontier, December 59. Present at Baree, April 58 ; Simree May 58; Nawabgunge, June 58; Sultanpore, August 58;.and Sitka Ghaut, February 59. Medal.
