Service  Lieutenant Foote served with the Force under Sir C. Campbell, against the Hill Tribes on the Peshawur Frontier, 51. Served during the Mutinies, 57, 58. Present at the siege and capture of Lucknow, 58. Medal and Clasp. Mentioned in the Despatches of Brigadier-General MacGregor, 15th February 58, and 20th March 58. Received the thanks of Government, 19th January 58. Employed in several occasions while in Command of Hoshungabad Military Police Battalion against rebels in the Hoshungabad District, and received thanks of the Lieutenant-Governor, N. W. P., on two occasions.
