Inscription  In memory of Henry Royal Dawson, for forty years a resident of these hills, during the last 12 of which he was one of the most zealous and influential directors of the O. L. Asylum, Municipal Comm. and other local institutions; a kind and affectionate husband and father, a true and warm-hearted friend and useful public servant. He lived and died beloved and honored by all who knew him. Born April 9th, 1810, died February 7th, 1874. Also of Mary, the beloved wife of Henry Royal Dawson, born 16th January 1803, died 6th April 1885. ""This woman was full of good works and alms deeds which she did."" Act ix-36. ""Her children arise up, and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praiseth her."" Prov. xxxi-28.
