Inscription  This tablet was erected by his friends to the memory of the Hon. John Frederick Stoddart, one of the Puisine Judges of the Supreme Court of the Island of Ceylon, � He was born at Malta on the 22nd September, 1805, and died in Colombo 29th August,1839.
