Inscription  Sacred to the memory of Major David Blair of the Honourablr the East India Company's Service, Aide-de camp to His Excellency the Hounourable Frederick North, Governor of Ceylon, Commissary General of Grain and Provisions on that Island. He died the 15th of May,1803, aged 41 years.
