Anderson obtained his services as Curator of the Herbarium in the Botanic Garden near Calcutta : he explored Burma and Pegu and the Andaman Islands in the interests of botany : wrote the Forest Flora of British Burma, 1877 : and many botanical papers in the Journals of various learned Societies : died at Pulo-Penang, Jan. 15, 1878. |
