Entry  Son of Ker of Kersfield in Peebles : to India in the B.C.S., 1791 : Collector of Chittagong about 1798 : Judge-Collector of Cuttack : Judge of Bareli : and of the Sadr Adalat in 1814 : restored order in Cuttack in 1818, after the insurrection there : died off Sagar Island, Dec. 3, 1819, on his way from Cuttack to Bengal.
