Entry  Surgeon on Admiral Watson's ship, the Kent, which was sent out to the relief of the British Settlements in India against Dupleix, 1754 : wrote an account of the voyage from England to India, and of the subsequent naval and military operations, 1755-7 : In this book, published in 1773, he describes the people of India, their customs, etc., and the vegetation of the country : calls himself "" Surgeon of His Majesty's Hospital in the East Indies.""
