Entry  Traveller : envoy of the Geographical Society : went to Yasin in 1869, when the Yasin chief, Mir Wali, enlisted his support against the Maharaja of Kashmir : went again to Yasin, on his way to the Pamir steppe : Mir Wali had him killed, perhaps through anger, fear, or cupidity, the Governor of Chitral, Amin-ul-Mulk, being implicated, in July, 1870.
