Register Entry  At Cannonore by the revd Alfred Fennell BA military chaplain on 28th Sep 1841 Frederick Manners Estwick Esq ensign in her majesty's 94th regt of foot to Miss Johanna Elizabeth Thompson only daughter of William Thompson esq MD surgeon of the same corps. On conclusion of the ceremony the happy couple repaired to the Mess House of the 94th regt where a sumptuous entertainment had been provided and the whole cantonment invited to partake of the hospitality of Doctor Thompson the father of the Bride. Upwards of 80 persons sat down to the dejeuner a la jourchette and the Band of the 94th contributed not a little amusement of the hour by performing several favourite airs waltzes &c. In the evening the doctor entertained his numerous guests to a Ball and Supper when dancing was kept up until a late hour and the party were up highly delighted with the attention of their kind host
