Register Entry  The Madras Standard remarks: The death of Mr Curwen editor and part proprietor of the Times of India is a great blow to that paper. Mr Curwen will be much missed for he in great measure made the paper what it now is. He was an able and hardworking man with extremely moderate views and was much esteemed in the Bombay society. In fact he may be described as one of the personages of Bombay and it goes without saying that he wielded much influence among all classes of the Bombay community
