Secretary to the Hakluyt Society, 1893-1902 : has edited several old records, including The Embassy of Sir Thomas Roe to the Court of the Great Mogul, 1615-19, and, with Sir G. Birdwood, The First Letter-book of the East India Company, 1600-19.
