	Entry	Son of John Drew : born Aug. n, 1836 : educated at the Royal School of Mines, and joined the Geological Survey in 1855. He was employed by the Maharaja of Kashmir, from 1862, to search for minerals and supervise his forest administration, and was Governor of Ladak : retired after 10 years. He was a science master at Eton, 1879-91, and died Oct. 28, 1891. He wrote The Jammu and Kashmir Frontiers, and The Northern Barrier of India : F.G.S. in 1858, and Member of its Council, 1874-6.
