Body of text  MILL, GEORGE SCOTT, born Anstruther, 30th July 1891, son of James M, MA, lecturer in Latin, University of Edinburgh, and Janet Carlyle, daughter of Adam Davidson, minister of Yetholm; educated at George Watson's College and University of Edinburgh; MA (1914), BSc (1914); appointed missionary Professor (Mathematics) in Scottish Churches' College November 1914; served in India during European War, captain and adjutant 3/5 Gurkha Rifles, 1917-19; took divinity classes at Edinburgh during furlough, 1919-20; licensed by Presbytery of Edinburgh 23rd December 1920; ordained (by Presbytery of Edinburgh) to Scottish Churches' College, Calcutta, 24th April 1921; transferred to Eastern Himalayan Mission (Kurseong) 1st May 1924; appointed Principal of Training College 1928. Married 4th November 1915, Catherine Wilson, daughter of William Clark, Rumbleton, Greenlaw, and Isabella Thomson, and has issue - Malcolm David, born 2nd October 1918; Elizabeth Wilson, born at Gordon 30th August 1920; Catherine Carlyle, born Calcutta 22nd September 1922.
