Body of text  FYFE, WILLIAM CRICHTON, born Alyth, 1818; educated at University of Edinburgh; appointed missionary teacher at Culna, Bengal, 1841. Joined the Free Church in 1843; licensed 18th November 1856; transferred to Calcutta in 1860; ordained there 29th April that year; resigned 1881; died 1884. He married (1) 1842, Annabella Wright, who died 1872; (2) 1875, Eliza Rhind Gordon.
