Body of text  FERRIE, WILLIAM WINKS, born Glasgow, 20th April 1884, son of Alexander F and Annie McKay; educated at Hutcheson's Grammar School and University of Glasgow; M..(1907); appointed to Scottish Universities' Mission, Kalimpong, 1915; transferred to Eastern Dooars, 1918; licensed by Presbytery of Eastern Himalayas in 1923; ordained to Eastern Dooars 21st November that year. Married 29th April 1919, Ella, daughter of Joseph Corky, DD, LLD, and Isabella Sloane.
