Body of text  CAMERON, ALLAN, born Woodside, Aberdeen, 23rd May 1887, son of Levi C And Jane Beattie; educated at Robert Gordon's College, Aberdeen, and University of Aberdeen; sometime teacher in Fordyce Academy; MA (1908); appointed to staff at Scottish Churches' College, Calcutta, 1909; BD (Edinburgh 1921); licensed by Presbytery of Edinburgh March 1921; ordained (by Presbytery of Edinburgh) missionary Professor of English in the Scottish Churches' College, Calcutta, 24th April that year. Married 12th March 1913, Margaret Knowles, daughter of George and Mary Scott, and has issue - Mildred, born 1st January 1914; Margaret Scott, born 11th November 1915; Jean, born 20th February 1919; David Lyon Scott, born 20th January 1921.
