Body of text  ALEXANDER, JOHN ARCHIBALD, born London 4th January 1876, son of Major James A and Augusta Marie Eck, and brother of James Frederick A (above mentioned), and of Vincent Cassels A, minister of Rubislaw; educated at Eton and University of Edinburgh; MA (1902); licensed by Presbytery of Edinburgh 4th May 1905; ordained (by Presbytery of Edinburgh) to Panjab Mission (Jammu) 15th October that year; at Daska in 1927. Married 2nd November 1909, Amy Marion, daughter of John Mackintosh, and has issue - James Mackintosh, born 18 August 1910; John Cassels, born 28th November 1912; Augusta Mary, born 14th February 1914; Elizabeth Marion Eck, born 18th November 1915, died 1st April 1916; Edward Maxwell, born 5th November 1917, died 10th March 1918.
