Body of text  DODD, GEORGE EDWARD, born Birsay, Orkney, 21st March 1884, son of Henry D, LRCP & S. minister of Downfield, Dundee; educated at George Watson's School and University of Edinburgh; MA (1904), BD (1907); licensed by Presbytery of Edinburgh May 1907 ; assistant at Morningside, Edinburgh; ordained to Colonial chaplaincy (India) 25th December 1910; appointed to Indian Ecclesiastical Establishment 11th November 1912; served with Indian Expeditionary Force October 1914; served with British Expeditionary Force March 1915 to December 1916 (medals); senior chaplain, Bengal Presidency, 1925. Married 11th May 1916, Edith May, daughter of Joseph Percy Brierly and Edith Middlemost, and has issue - Elizabeth Sheila Mary born 15th August 1917; Ian Alastair Scott born 29th August 1920. Publication - Editor of Saint Andrew, 1912-14.
