Details of Inscription  In Memory of Major General Michael Michael Francklin Willoughby Cb , Royal Artillery, Bombay. He served in command of field artillery on several occasions in the Mahea Kanta in 1824, at the storming of the fortress of Godra Champancer and Fowongurh in the Southern mahratta Country at Kittoor in 1824 in Kattiwar in 1828 and was present at the capture of Aden in 1839. He commnded a battery of artillery at Hyderabad in Scinde and for his services on that occasion obtained the companionship of the Bath. He was Principal Commissary of Ordnance and Inspector General of Ordnance Bombay during the time of teh Great Mutiny in 1858. Was appointed to the staff of the India Office as Deputy General of Stores and in 1859 as Inspector. Retired in March 1870. Born November 12th 1803. Died August 206th 1871.
