""Investigator,"" with Sir Robert McClure (4 years and 2 months frozen up in ice). Commd. H.M.S. "" Himalaya "" carrying troops to China, hearing of Indian Mutiny at Singapore took the troops to Calcutta on own responsibility, for which recd, thanks of Gov-Gen. in Council, and afterwards Admiralty 1858. Ret. 1872. 31 Adamson Rd. S. Hampstead, N.W. United Service Club.
