Register Entry  Killed in action at Sobroan on the 10th of February last Lieutenant Robert Hay 50th Regiment NI Adjutant of the Nussaree Battalion and acting Brigade Major 12th Infantry Brigade Army of the Sutlege. In him the service has lost a good active and zealous officer. His amiable disposition had gained for him the affections and esteem of his fellow officers and it may be safely added of all who had the pleasure of knowing him intimately. His loss is deeply felt by the officers of his regiment.
