Deceased was well known to the military and inhabitants of the frontier as the proprietor of the spiritedly-conducted Inn which bears his name. He cam to this colony among the British Settlers of 1820 and has ever since maintained the character of a brave an upright and an intelligent man. A few years since though a remarkably powerful man he was suddenly seized with paralysis from which time his physical powers rapidly failed him until they terminated in death as above stated.
