Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Wm. Thompson, Esq., of Mary Port, in the county of Cumberland, late commander of the ship ""Captain Cook,"" who departed this life on the 20th May 1834, aged 56 years. He was a good husband, an affectionate father, and a sincere friend. His loss will be severely felt by many. This tablet is placed here as the last mark of respect, by his affectionate son, Wm. Thompson.
