This meritorious Officer during a period of 40 years of unremitted service, Distinguished himself by his attachment to his profession; ever zealous in the discharge of its duties, fulfiling them with fidelity and integrity to the State; and honor and credit to himself as a man; while good nature, hospitality, and kindness of heart, are considered as estimable qualities, so long will be remembered and regretted by a numerous circle of friends, by one of whom this tribute to departed worth is offered. |
