Entry  On the 6th Oct., fell, mortally wounded through the femoral artery, while gallantly leading on his men to the assault of the Fort in the Island of Bate, Gulf of Cutch, East Indies, Lieut, Jas. Wm. MacCormack, H.M.s 28th Regt., aged 20 years and 10 months, the only and dearly beloved son of M.J. MacCormack, M.D., Bedfordshire Militia, deeply and sincerely lamented by all who knew him.
