Inscription  Sacred to the Memory of Robert Gardener, who was unfortunately wrecked in the Ship 'Ganges' on the Barabullor Sand in the River Ganges, the 23rd May 1787, in the 47th year of his age. This Monument is erected from a motive of filial regard by his affectionate son, Andrew Gardener.
