Inscription  Here lieth Charles Edman, who was born in Gothenburg in the kingdom of Sweden. He was the son of the Rev. Dean John Edman, and departed this life on the 20th of March 1776, at Calcutta, in the kingdom of Bengal. This Monument was erected by his disconsolate widow, Aura de Barros.
