Inscription  This Tribute of affection, is raised by the Christian community of this Presidency, To the memory of The Right Reverend Daniel Corrie, L.L.D., Late Lord Bishop of Madras, and formerly Archdeacon of Calcutta; The friend and fellow-labourer of Henry Martyn, The beloved Prelate, died at Madras on the 5th day of February 1837, In the 59th year of his age, and the second of his Episcopate. "They rest from their labours and their works do follow them."
