Inscription  Virtus post funera Vivit. This Monument was erected in Memory of Martha Eyles, daughter of Sir John Witteurong, Bart. And Relict of John Gumley, Esq. Who died Chief of Dacca in January 1742-3, After being again Married a short time to Edward Eyles, Esq. of Council at Fort William; she concluded this life with a becoming resignation the 21st August 1748, being well esteemed with much regretted by those who were acquainted with her engaging qualifications and personal merit.
