Register Entry  At Poona on Sunday the 10th February of paralytic stroke Mr Frederick Ellis Pensioned Conductor of the Commissariat Dept aged 68 years deeply and deservedly regretted for his many amiable qualities and kindly disposition by all who knew him leaving behind a widow and orphan children to bemoan his loss The deceased was a Veteran Soldier who has done good service in the field against the enemies of his country both in India and in Europe and had served with HM's 44rd (the Duke of Wellington's) Regt of Foot at the Battle of Waterloo
