Wix, an eminent bricklayer, many years deputy of Bishopsgate Ward Within. He was seized with a fit of coughing, and expired in an instant. He was concerned in building several large works, particularly a number of warehouses for the E. India Company, where the late Navy-office was, in Crutched Friars; also bricklayer of the new Compter now building in Newgate-street. |
