Detail  On-board the Trident man of war, of 64 guns, of which he was commander, while she was in lat. 5 deg. 40 m. N. long. 98 d. 40 m. E. [Straits of Malacca] Capt. Turnor, brother of the Rev. Mr. T. of Hammersmith. Though he had been made post only in 1796, there are few who have seen more service; as, since he was first distinguished by the patronage of the Duke of Clarence, in 1786, he had not been 3 months absent from his duty from that period to the day of his death, a space of upwards of 14 years.
