Detail  On Blackheath-hill, Greenwich, aged 56, Mrs. Mary Snodgrass, wife of Gabriel S. esq. surveyor of the East India Company's shipping, and the inventor of iron knees for ships, in the place of large timbers, which has saved the lives of many brave fellows in action, and is in every respect more useful. By Mr. S. she has left a son and two daughters. On the 24th her remains were deposited in a vault in Charlton Church-yard, near to that of Capt. Cumming's lady, when the unfeigned affection of some of this good lady's domesticks was demonstrated to the spectators with a heartfelt sympathy.
