Detail  At the Medical Society's house in Bolt-court, Fleet-street, Mr. Jacob Rayer, messenger to the Society from its first institution in 1771, and for the last 20 years, dayman in thr treasury of the Hon. South-Sea Company. He was baptized March 16, 1734 as appears by the registers of Winchcomb, co. Gloucester. He had been employed in a humble station in the East-India Company's warehouses... [when he studied to become a botanist, lengthy obituary].
