Detail  At Lucknow, the famous General Martine, who brought over a regiment of the enemy to our army in India. He has left 30 lacks of rupees (upwards of £400,000), the greater part of which he has bequeathed for the support of charitable and literary establishments in India. His own house, which was one of the greatest curiosities in that country, being built more in the form of a fortification than a dwelling-house, he has ordered to be converted into a mausoleum, in the middle of which he is to be buried. The sum of £12000 is appropriated for its support and repair.
