Detail  At Bath, aged 62, Sir Charles Warre Malet, bart. of Wilbury-house, Wilts. He was in 1785 appointed plenipotentiary to the court of the Peshwa, or head of the Mahrattas; previously to which he had visited the Great Mogul, and been created one of the nobles of his empire. He was also for some time acting governor of Bombay, and left India in 1798. He was created a Baronet Feb. 12, 1798 [additional material, 1816 Suppl. Part II page 631].
