Henry Peach Keighley of the Madras Establishment, only nephew of Samuel Peach esq. of Portland Place. He was a young man of the most brilliant talents and distinguished abilities, combined with the most polished mind and amiable disposition [But, see Oct 1817 page 638: ""The report of the death of Lieut. Henry Peach Keighley, nephew and godson of Samuel Peach, esq. of Portland Place in Janaury last, on his way from Hydrabad to Bombay, is unfounded -- accounts having been received at the India House that he had arrived in safety at Bombay, and on the 7th of February obtained leave from the Governor to proceed to the Cape of Good Hope, for the benefit of his health"".] |
