Detail  Aged 78, Major Jourdan, of Devonshire-str. Portland-pl. He was formerly of the East India Company's Madras Establishment. We meet with his name in the war with Hyder Ali Cawn in 1784; and as commanding the second regiment of cavalry in 1786; which he resigned at the close of 1787, and soon after returned to England.
