Detail  Lately, Mr John Humphries, an English merchant at Constantinople, who had for some years been entrusted with the direction of the overland dispatches to the East India Company. The charges of the last dispatches transmitted from Constantinople, on the 22nd of April last, amounted to the sum of 21l 10 s 6 d, which, with the annual salary, makes in the whole 71l 10 s 10d. Mr Barbauld succeeds Mr Humphries as agent for the Company, and the mercantile house is now carried on under the firm of Barbauld and Co.
