Detail  In Berkeley-square, aged 74, Sir Benjamin Hobhouse, of Westbury College, co. Gloucester� [in 1803 was appointed Secretary to the Board of Control, resigned in 1804, later First Commissioner for investigating the debts of the Nabobs of the Carnatic until his death. Had 3 sons and 2 daus by his first wife, married 1785, Charlotte Cam, they included Henry Wm., of EIC Civil Service, who was married at Calcutta and has issue. Sir Benjamin married, secondly, 1793, Amelia Parry, 4 sons, 10 daus.]. Pages 371-372.
