Detail  Died at his house in St. James's Square, after having been reduced to a state of extreme dibility by an excruciating disease with which he had been for several years afflicted, and from which his age precluded all chance of recovery, Sir Philip Francis, K.B.... [Was one of three sent out to India, as the civilian in his case, to investigate Indian government as a result of Lord North's 1773 bill. He left Bengal in December 1780, later became an M.P., in which role he spoke much on India. Pages 84-87].
