Of this amiable lady's life, the last nine years were spent in India; where, from her correct deportment, engaging manners, and genuine wit, heightened by a fascinating sprightliness which might be truly termed peculiar to herself, she was received in the first circles with approbation and esteem; but, after all, the best praise that can be given is, that which she sererved as a daughter, a wife, a mother, and a friend. |
