Detail  In Somerset-street, aged 79, the Right Hon. Hugh Elliot, formerly Governor of Madras. He was sworn a Privy Counsellor, March 19, 1814. He died suddenly soon after retiring to bed; on which account an inquest was taken, whose verdict was -- died by the visitation of God. He has left nineteen children.
