Robt. Duncan, 2d batt. Royals. Capt. Duncan, who was a native of Aberdeen, had for the last 12 years been much engaged in actual service. He volunteered his services for Egypt, and was in the battle in which Sir Ralph Abercromby fell. At Ferrol, he saved the life of an officer of high rank, by cutting down a Spaniard, who had presented a pistol at his head. |
